10. You are a Smoker.
Smoking is one of the unhealthiest things you can do to your body and health. There is a substantial amount of research to support why smoking is bad for your body, especially for the lungs and the heart. There is an automatic 30 percent risk of heart disease when you are a smoker, regardless of the type of tobacco you smoke and how much you smoke. Similarly, for those who are heavy smokers, there is up to about 80 percent increase in heart disease. Smoking can cause extreme risk for scarring on your arteries and this can increase the risk of plaque that forms on your arteries. This increases the chance of having plaque flow through your arteries and causing a blockage in your main coronary arteries or even in your brain. If you are a smoker, the best thing you can do is to stop immediately, even if you have been a heavy smoker for 20 years.
