Pork liver contains even more good stuff. It’s leaner, it has more iron, and it contains more vitamin C – however, you should remember that liver should be eaten in moderation. It’s pretty high in cholesterol, which is bad for the heart when you eat too much of it. Furthermore, pregnant women should try and avoid having too much, as it contains a lot of vitamin A. This vitamin has been seen to cause a number of birth defects, according to one study.
